WHAT IS PULPO PRESS??
Senorita and amigos, let us inform you on what PULPO is. PULPO gathers the kinds of comics that strike inspiration into the soul. The type of stories that make grip your heart and stick to your soul like the smell of an intoxicating perfume. Our goal is to showcase to the world those stories and artists that wouldnt normally be giving the light of day in the mainstream world that dominates storytelling as it is today. We are here to give those artists the oppurtunities they crave, and deserve.
CAN I JOIN BANDA PULPO?
THATS ALL UP TO YOU! You can start by pulling out a piece of paper and answering the following questions:
- CAN YOU DRAW? ... AWESOMELY?
- CAN YOU WRITE? ... INSANELY?
- CAN YOU DELIVER?... PUNCTUALLY?
If you can say yes to all those questions, and would like to talk to us, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO EMAIL US!
WOAH ANTHOLOGIES? CAN I GET IN?
YOU SURE CAN! PULPO anthologies come out annually/bi-annually, so if you think you've got a self contained story that could make it into our book, please free to email us some sample pages!
The following dimensions are what you should follow when drawing for our anthologies:
- - 6"x9" (full bleed will reach to 6.24x9.24 inches)
- - 300dpi grayscale pdfs only
- - SELF CONTAINED STORY, which means the story must END. None of that "to be continued" nonsense.

DO I GET PAID FOR DOING COMICS?
Now that all depends on what exactly you're doing for PULPO PRESS. For example, if you're doing a short story to be featured in our anthology, that you will NOT get money for. Our anthology book offers artists the oppurtunity to be published for free, the only other thing we can do for you is sell you a single copy of the book at wholesale price.
Now lets say you're developing your own book to be published under the PULPO PRESS label, in that case you get to keep all the rights to your book and walk away with 75% of the profits.
CANT I JUST PUBLISH ON MY OWN?
OF COURSE YOU CAN! But lets look at the situation here for a minute... will be able to go to several conventions to promote your work when its possible? Will you be able to submit to distributors to get your book circulating in the world? Will you be able to front the $100+ to purchase an isbn number so you can sell your books in any store around the world? OF COURSE YOU CAN! But its a lot harder now isnt it? By joining BANDA PULPO, you join a family ... a GANG... A BAND OF PULPOS. Now tell me, would you want to go to war alone?
